The main goal of Ciclope Peltier is offer a remote control lab as part of Ciclope Proyect.
Raised scene consists in a scale model using a Peltier cell like main element to cool . This model is located at Facultad de informática (UPM).
In addition it has been created an environ base on a linux SO with RTAI that provides real time capacities to control and show the model.
The remote lab can be access and used by internet , so the main elements are the scale model to control , a I/O card , the pc and RTAI installed.
Ciclope Peltier is design to control a simple temperature control model.The selected element to cool is a Peltier cell due to it provide a simple control unlike other systems, and it is a low cost element compare with others.
Is necesary the SO has real time support so, we have selected RTAI with the advantage that it is no necesary a cross environment.
A I/O card is used to data acquisition locate in the develop pc. The objetive is to control a first order system remotely and get information about the system in real time. It will be possible to interact with the system but in a limited way.
The real time capabilities appear over this goal, in addition to the low cost, high availability considering that only one user can be interact at the same time.
Although in this case fuzzy logic is not used to control the model , it is possible to implement this kind of application with the same RTOS.
